The veneers treatment process

The first step involves shaping the surface of the tooth to equal the thickness of the veneer. We apply a temporary veneer to the tooth to last until the porcelain one is ready.

Before we bond the veneer, we first check the fit and colour. Some trimming may be required so that it sits perfectly on the tooth. We then prepare the cement that will bond the veneer to the tooth, and shade the cement so it matches the natural colour of your teeth.

Composite veneers
If it’s only minor chips, cracks or discolouration that need addressing, then the material we use for fillings (composite) may be all that’s required.

Porcelain veneers
A porcelain veneer treatment involves bonding a thin porcelain coating to the front surface of your tooth. This coating is strong, durable, looks natural and is resistant to staining. Two appointments are required for this treatment, as porcelain veneers are custom-made in a lab.
